John Elliot Ltd are a Cumbria Plant Hire, Agricultural, and General Contracting Business based in Great Clifton, Cumbria.

John Elliot initially started as a farmer in 1968 and successfully grew the business to incorporate agricultural contracting services in 1975.

Since that time, John Elliot Ltd has evolved into a multi-disciplined, specialist contractor offering a wide range of services, including drainage & sewerage works, sports field development (including drainage, construction & maintenance), hard landscaping services, gritting services and plant hire.

With a reputation of reliability and flexibility, John Elliot Ltd has managed to grow the business responsibly and build a large network of clients with long-term relationships.

	Construction Skills are the Sector Skills Council and Industry Training Board for the construction industry, working with industry, for industry to deliver a safe, professional and fully qualified UK construction workforce.
	Health and safety comes first at John Elliot Ltd, which is why we are committed to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). All of our workers are certified CSCS card holders, and are fully trained in every area of health and safety. Through promoting CSCS, we are able to offer a safer, better workforce.
	John Elliot Ltd are members of The Construction Plant-Hire Association, ensuring that we are up to date with industry developments, with Best Practice, and with legislative requirements and standards.

John Elliot Ltd energy & utility workers, where required, carry a EUSR ID Card to show that they are able to demonstrate health and safety awareness and relevant skills and competencies to carryout the work.
